JIMMIE BONE - THE FIFTH CONTINENT....
|
|
At
the same time Jayl's pioneering masterpiece"The Dance of Life" was released on the Harmony
Label, Jimmie Bone's own masterpiece "The Fifth Continent" was also released
on the same label. After Jimmie's extensive work on "The Dance of Life", Jayl collaborated and performed on 2 tracks - "A
Time to Shine" and "Queen of the Summer", which actually
featured Nick 'Topper' Headon - the ex-drummer from The Clash. Jayl felt privileged to be involved with such a brilliant song featuring a true legend. Most of all, Jayl pays tribute to his brother's fantastic songwriting .... "Queen of the Summer" was written in honour of Jayl & Jimmie's wonderful Auntie - Peggy Vaisey; who brought sunshine, laughter and happiness to their childhoods and touched so many people in so many wonderful ways. The Topper Headon link has special synchronicity, as "The Dance of Life" album is dedicated to the late great Joe Strummer of The Clash and features a tribute to him in "Ghosts of the Underground".
